Sounds in Silence

Work in progress. Chronicling the intimacy within illness, this videopoem precedes a series of works drawing a connection between cultural trauma and collective well-being.

2023. This short videopoem was commissioned by Seattle Art Museum for the Living Labels program, inviting local artists to share their interpretations of pieces in SAM's American Art galleries.

2017. Fabricated textbook correlating the appropriation of hip hop culture using the analogy of a virus invading a cell.



2017. Reconstructed flag highlighting the government’s influence in the creation of gangs during the ‘60s and ‘70s to thwart the Black liberation movements.



2016. Created for the "For the '99 & the 2000s: An Exploration of C.R.E.A.M." exhibit, this piece comments on the interrelated reverence and subjugation of violence in America.
