01/ ORIENTATION
Afrocentric by origin.
Everything I make begins from the perspective of my experience as a Black woman.
My practice centers Black philosophy, creation, experiences, values, and unending love. I work with image, language, and emotional technology to express Afrocentrism in a way that allows freedom and flexibility, creating space for Black life to persist and expand.

02/ THE COLLECTIVE BODY (IN PROGRESS)
WHEN YOU LEFT ME
Introduces the idea that collective trauma impacts collective behavior. It considers connection to land as a representation of the collective body, asking what our treatment of the environment might reveal about the wounds a society carries.

03/ THE INDIVIDUAL BODY
SOUNDS IN SILENCE
Utilizes the health condition of uterine fibroids to illustrate the idea of generational traumas moving through time and manifesting within individual health. The body becomes an archive, holding what has not been spoken, resolved, or released.

"When a trauma happens, the experience changes us. It changes our biology, and it changes how our genes function. These changes can then be passed on to our children."
-Dr. Mark Wolynn
"What's missing in our world isn't just justice—it's the recognition that healing is a collective process, not an individual one."
-Dr. Gabor Mate
